1st July - DARTMOOR CLASSIC SPORTIVE
Recognised as the most prestigious open-road cycling event in the UK.
6th - 16th July - WAYS WITH WORDS
A vibrant and joyful 10-day event in the spectacular surroundings of the Dartington Hall Estate. A chance for those who read books to meet those who write them.
3rd - 6th August - TORBAY STEAM FAIR
This is now one of the biggest events on the English Riviera. See wonderful working steam enginges, vintage and classic cars, lorries, military displays and market stalls with entertainment for children and food and drink tents.
9th - 10th August - BRITISH FIREWORKS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Six top pyrotechnic companies will light up the sky over Plymouth Hoe in two nights of competition. Live entertainment on the Hoe before the displays start.
30th August - 1st Sept - DARTMOUTH ROYAL REGATTA
The second largest Regatta after Cowes week!
There are rowing and sailing events and a busy programme of activities including air displays, fireworks, a large fair, and many other smaller eents that happen in and around the town centre.
25th - 26th August - - DARTMOOR WALKING FESTIVAL
It covers the last Bank Holiday of the year and includes a variety of walks for all abilities and taster sessions in other outdoor activities. Moorland Guides organise the event and the Dartmoor National Park are offering ranger-led walks as well as archaeological visits and events. Local speakers will be putting on a variety of illustrated talks of a Dartmoor theme at the Princetown Visitor Information centre.
15th September - THE INTERNATIONAL AGATHA CHRISTIE FESTIVAL
Celebrating 100 years of Agatha Christie creativity.

19th - 21st October - DARTMOUTH FOOD FESTIVAL
A cracking day out centred on the quayside at Dartmouth with top-notch chef demos and great local produce. A wonderful festival to wander around, mostly on the flat with lovely views of the river.
